Capture a useful sequence
For a packing check, the evidence should make the product, quantity, condition and completed parcel understandable. For a return, capture the received parcel and visible condition before the inspection decision. Keep the right order or return reference attached. A short, clear recording tied to the correct record is more useful than a long clip with an unreadable label.
Review the saved evidence, not just the preview
Camera access, recording and uploading are separate steps. Check the completion state and reopen the saved record before treating evidence as available. Veristow uses supported browser recording and controlled upload flows; connection quality, supported formats, file limits and the device affect capture. Agree recording settings and retention for the intended stations.
Keep access and retention deliberate
Evidence can contain employee images, customer labels and commercial information. Configure who can capture, review and share it. The document lifecycle supports retention controls and legal holds for authorised review. Choose policies with your business and legal advisers; a setting alone does not establish compliance.
- Keep cameras focused on the task and avoid unnecessary audio or personal detail.
- Use the record's authorised access path when investigating a claim.
- Retain material subject to a hold and review expired records through the lifecycle workflow.
Build a dispute record with context
Pair the recording with the order, item quantities, inspection result and dispatch or return documents. Verify that references agree before sharing material with a client. Evidence supports a review; it does not guarantee a marketplace will accept a claim, establish what happened after dispatch or make a video legally conclusive.
Common questions
Is this a replacement for CCTV?
No. Workflow evidence is attached to a packing or return record. CCTV serves a separate site monitoring purpose; it should not be described as the same capability.
Will video proof guarantee a refund claim succeeds?
No. Acceptance depends on the facts and the recipient's current evidence rules. Use clear, relevant records and validate the required format and retention period for each process.
